Creating an Acne Diet that Works for You

2. Don’t eat carbs. Its not necessary to cut out all carbohydrates. However you should keep them around 40 percent of your diet. This is because there are compounds in carbohydrates that can stimulate oil production. This is why junk food has a reputation for causing acne. In reality junk food just has a high carb content.
3. Consume green tea. If at all possible try to drink the real stuff. The best kind of green tea is the kind you brew yourself. However, if you really don’t like it, then try the natural green tea drinks. Green tea will restrain the production of androgen. Breakouts can be caused by the hormone called androgen.
4. Restrict your salt intake. Iodine is usually found in salt. Which is why table salt is sometimes called “iodized salt.” For some with acne, iodine an cause major inflammation.
In addition to watching your diet, you should carefully watch what you put on your face. You should know what ingredients are in your beauty products if you have acne. Look for oil-free moisturizers and natural or organic skin care lines. These products will least likely cause you to breakout. Consider switching over to mineral makeup. Dermatologists are under the belief that mineral makeup can fully help alleviate your acne problems while enhancing the results of your acne diet.
